Obama Health Reform Address Close – “The Character Of Our Country”

July 132010

At the close of an address on health reform to Congress, President Obama reminds people: “I will not waste time with those who have made the calculation that it’s better politics to kill this plan, than to improve it.”

“If you misrepresent what’s in this plan, we will call you out,” he adds. “And I will not accept the status quo as a solution. Not this time. Not now.”

He also talks about a letter he received from late Senator Ted Kennedy that was written in May, but delivered to Obama after Kennedy’s death. In the letter, Ted called health reform “unfinished business” but was confident that “this is the year” that it would pass.

Obama also remarked on when it is necessary fo government to step in.

Selected Fanny Mae Cuplrits

June 202010

I am new to YouTube, and, as such, I don’t know how to create a video. Therefore, I am uploading a copy of a video I got from YouTube member, “NakedEmperorNews.” I hope you don’t mind; I’m not trying to violate copyright, as this is a spare “backup copy” file copy for personal, educational, non-profit purposes to save the nation. (As an aside, I just realized that this is a public hearing which is probably in the public domain, and not able to be copyrighted, but I still give credit to the source herein and am of the undersanding that the owner wanted this passed on.) I converted it from FLV to AVI, and I am converting it back to FLV upon upload, so it may lose some resolution integrity. Sincerely, Gordon Wayne Watts, Lakeland, Florida, USA

All I Want From Congress

“All I Want From Congress” Lyrics

I don’t want a lot from Congress…
So many folks are in need…

I don’t care to have a handout.

Sick and tired of corporate greed.
Please don’t listen to the fringe.
Or pass a bill that makes us cringe.
We need you too…

Senate this is what we elected you to do….

I could use a job dear Congress.
So could all the others in need.
We can do better than the presents with one that helps the whole Country.
i don’t need an explanation of why we have to compromise.
Bet they wont’ really filibuster
I see fear in Ensign’s eyes.
We want real reform to pass.
A milestone that is sure to last.
Make our wish come true!
Senate this is what we elected you.
To do.

I won’t ask much from Congress
don’t want the deficit to grow.
Can’t afford to wait much longer.
Keep sending things to the CBO!
I made a short list and I sent it to Nelson, Landrieu, and ol’ Joe.
The catastrophic plan when you wrote, won’t get me to the gyno.
Cause I don’t think it asks for much to say we all deserve coverage.
I know this much is true…
Congress this is why we elected you.
Yeah

Oh Mr. Lieberman you’ve become a Grinch.
You almost lost your seat but this is quite a stink.
31 Million People
31 Million People
Joe it’s not too late to stop blocking the debate.
Do the right thing for the Country.

Oh I’ve got news for you dear congress. News that you just have to hear. If this bill ends up far from perfect we’ll just have to come on back next year. So pass a bill but don’t be mistaken cause our efforts will not be forsaken. Why wait another year?

Congress this is why we elected you.

ObamaCare is Unconstitutional and the Daily Review does not care!

Dear Editor,

Back in the 1932 Pulitzer Prize winner Walter Duranty was so supportive of Communism that he ignored reporting on 8-12 million Ukrainians who were ultimately starved to death by Stalin. When caught “red handed” with this omission he was reported to have said that “You can’t make an omelet with out breaking a few eggs.”
Apparently the editor of the Daily Review feels the same way when he bad mouths Attorney
General Tom Corbett for taking his oath of office seriously. If editor wants to turn the
United States into another form of government that ignores our guarantees of freedom,
spelled out in the US Constitution, he should at least be intellectually honest and just
say so.

Congressman Carney and Senators Specter and Casey took an oath to defend and
protect the US Constitution and apparently their oaths have meant nothing to them. The
Durantys of this world will use the same car insurance/ health insurance analogy or any
other bogus argument to act as a smoke screen to advance their real agenda.

The health insurance industry orchestrated this whole scheme to get 100% of the market
share and to avoid the supply and demand aspects of premium pricing. Sure there was
” GOOD COP” /”BAD COP” tactics regarding the PUBLIC OPTION and
ABORTION FUNDING, but that was just for show. ( Why do you think AARP spent 27.9 million dollars lobbying Washington in 2008?)

The Durantys of this world still believe that you can stick it to the fat-cat,business owners/executives by raising their taxes, etc. ,forgetting that such increases in cost of operation are only added to the price which the consumers ultimately pay. The editor’s allegiance to the “cause” appears very apparent by his
lack of timely reports of other states who have passed laws to protect their citizens
from OBAMACARE, his lack of reporting on Rep. Matt Baker’s HB 2053, called Health Care
Freedom Act and his disdain for Corbett’s patriotic act! Apparently the word FREEDOM
seems to be a concept which his paper does not appear to value much!

Sincerely,
Joseph Rene DuPont
