John Flemming (R-LA): Under the current draft of the Democrat health care legislation, members of Congress are curiously exempt from the government-run health care option, keeping their existing health plans and services on Capitol Hill. If Members of Congress believe so strongly that government-run health care is the best solution for hard working American families, I think it only fitting that Americans see them lead the way. I shot this video at Congress Woman Maxine Waters Heath Care Town Hall Meeting today. She does a good job of outlining what they’re working on. I’m also going to post a video showing some of the questions and answers from after the speech. It looks like we’ll never have single payer healthcare, but she says she is insisting that there be a public option. There weren’t any of the Tea Party protesters at this meeting. I think they’re scared to go into the city.
