Obama Health Reform Address Close – “The Character Of Our Country”

July 132010

At the close of an address on health reform to Congress, President Obama reminds people: “I will not waste time with those who have made the calculation that it’s better politics to kill this plan, than to improve it.”

“If you misrepresent what’s in this plan, we will call you out,” he adds. “And I will not accept the status quo as a solution. Not this time. Not now.”

He also talks about a letter he received from late Senator Ted Kennedy that was written in May, but delivered to Obama after Kennedy’s death. In the letter, Ted called health reform “unfinished business” but was confident that “this is the year” that it would pass.

Obama also remarked on when it is necessary fo government to step in.

Christopher Hitchens on Patriotism, Adultery, and Corporations (1992 – Part 6)

July 132010

March 23, 1992 http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FChristopher-Hitchens%2Fe%2FB000APSKR0%3Fqid%3D1278211708%26sr%3D1-2-ent&tag=doc06-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325

Barbara Levy Boxer (born November 11, 1940) is the junior United States Senator from California and a member of the Democratic Party. Boxer was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1992, becoming the second female Jewish U.S. senator, after Sen. Dianne Feinstein. She was reelected in 1998 and in 2004 for a term ending in January 2011.

With the convening of the 110th Congress, Boxer became the first female chair of the Environment and Public Works Committee and, following the resignation of Sen. Tim Johnson (D-South Dakota) from the post, she was also chosen as chair of the Select Committee on Ethics. This made her the only senator to preside over two committees simultaneously. She holds the record for the most popular votes in a statewide contested election in California, having received 6,955,728 votes in her 2004 re-election over former Republican Secretary of State Bill Jones.

She currently holds the position of Chief Deputy Whip of the Democratic Majority.

On August 17 at the Republican convention in New Orleans, Louisiana, George H. W. Bush called on Quayle to be his running mate in the 1988 United States presidential election. The choice immediately became controversial. Press coverage of the convention was dominated with questions about “the three Quayle problems”, in the phrase of H. Brent Bozell, executive director of the Media Research Center, a conservative group that monitors television coverage. The questions involved his military service, a golf trip to Florida with Paula Parkinson, and whether he had enough experience to be President. Quayle seemed at times rattled and at other times uncertain or evasive as he tried to handle the questions. Delegates to the convention generally blamed television and newspapers for the focus on Quayle’s problems, but Bush’s staff said they thought Quayle had mishandled the questions about his military record, leaving questions dangling. Although Republicans were trailing by up to 15 points in public opinion polls taken before the convention, they received a significant boost that put them in the lead, which they did not relinquish for the rest of the campaign.

Public Vote on Dem. vs Rep. Congressional Bills.

July 132010

Approach-avoidance question #499 & #330 in 2007 CNN-YouTube Presidential Debates. Now “Signing Statement 9/29/2009: Public Vote on Congressional Bills” http://healthcare.change.org/actions/view/signing_statement_9292009_public_vote_on_congressional_bills

Constitutional Upgrade 28.0 inserts just 18 hard words into the 1st sentence of the 2nd paragraph of Article I section 7:

…Every bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, OR AT THE DISCRETION OF CONGRESS, EVERY COMPETING VERSION OF A BILL HAVING GAINED THE PUBLIC VOTE MAJORITY, shall, before it become a law, be presented to the President….

Generating a purely psychological restoring force–to the present government by psychological operations. Job 1 of Party machinery is to spin every new idea or issue apart by its extremes culminating in a bait-and-switch, wherein private interest power is retained at the last minute.

Is the Shadow Govt real? Just follow the money trail–until you are told you can look no further. SHAGGED, as it were.

28.0 is purely a psychological restoring force in that Congress has this Option right now without an amendment–as a binding resolution, binding on only Congress itself to pass along the public vote majority winning version of a bill to the President.

The opportunity this 28.0 alternative to the zeitgeist paradigm http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ offers to the secret-societies is in its anti-SHAGGING effect: The opportunity to conduct the financial global theater of operations under the higher protocols of the more productive Consent of the Governed.

There you have it–fascism and communism stem from the same philosophical roots, and it’s back to them uglies we be charting a course, ya scurvy scoundrels. Or else, here be a new modus operandi anyone with a drop of American Revolution remaining in his/her profile should find a proper Constitutional alternative.

This video appeared several times a night on the background monitors in Paula Zahn’s CNN’s weeklong show explaining the new debate format…and it even seemed like the CNN VP was talking it over one night with the Decision Team: “When he asks that question, they’re just going to…” and then the camera cut away. Well what could any presidential candidate or media commentator say about how a bill really becomes a law…except both parties have America living a lie, and this 28.0 Emergency Spin Recovery Procedure is the only way to pull out of the spin before all this Reagan-emulation finishes flying the whole works into the ground.

The Crisis of Democracy is worldwide–28.0 is the means to regain US Moral Authority after the crash. SunTzu says: Rule #1 in “Art of War” is hold Moral Authority high ground. Once we emerge from what will effectively be ONE WORLD CURRENCY BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS, meanwhile the media expert commentators heads spin faster and faster to throw off blame.

In actual practice though moderation would prevail, since the competing Republican and Democratic versions of a bill would need to be written away from party base extremes in order to gain the public vote majority. In a process that would REDIRECT THE CASH FLOW, effect the line-item veto, and effect campaign finance reform, while pulling out of the CNN/FOX spin.

The reasoning behind this answer/question, is explained way too metaphorically in my book “The Maturing of the Democratic Process” published by iUniverse.com, http://www.iuniverse.com/Bookstore/BookDetail.aspx?BookId=SKU-000045833

As book points out, more amendments have dealt with the extension of voting rights than any other single issue. An NRA would form the next logical term in the series. Which Marilyn vos Savant and Constitutional Law Prof. Jonathan Turley of George Washington University have been asked to comment–also with no reply.

INITIATIVES aka privately written laws are NOT supported. 28.0 legitimizes present govt by competing private-sector polls, and focus groups–now configured to find out what lies to tell to get through continuous campaign election/news cycle.

One thing the conservatives, liberals, and communists all say is eventually their government will “just wither away.” (Sleep with the fish.)

Perspective here is to re-strike balance of power–promoting human-spiritual growth accompanying every step in the extension of voting rights vs. era of govt by psych-ops keeping America in adolescent state via media-generated scapegoats.

Boehner Introduces the House GOP Congressional Transparency Initiative

May 302010

The American people have had it with business as usual in Congress. They are fed up with practices such as tucking special-interest provisions into bills behind closed doors, secretly changing bills without a vote, and passing bills no one has read. This has happened for far too long, but never before has the need for reform been more apparent than in the past year under Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her Democratic majority.

Americans are demanding change in the way Congress works. Recognizing this, I and other reform-minded congressional Republicans this week will put forth a new transparency initiative a series of common-sense congressional reforms aimed at bringing some much-needed openness and accountability to the House.

In just 10 months, with help from the Obama White House, Speaker Pelosis Congress has taken business-as-usual to a devastating new extreme. The American people have watched Congress rush through a massive stimulus spending bill no one read; a massive $410 billion omnibus spending bill loaded with thousands of un-scrutinized earmarks; and a new cap and trade national energy tax loaded with special-interest giveaways unveiled at 3:00 am on the morning before a vote.

Now the White House is pushing for a final year-end bill which will be written in secret by the majority behind closed doors to replace the current health care system with government-run care, and transform about one-sixth of our nations economy. The bill will be hammered out in a private, partisan House-Senate conference committee with no public access or scrutiny, in direct contradiction of President Obamas pledge that such talks would be televised on C-SPAN.

These are the actions of a Democratic majority that has forgotten its the American people who are really in charge. These are actions designed to shut the American people out while politicians go about the business of limiting their freedom. And in an era of 10.2 percent unemployment, mounting debt, seemingly endless bailouts, and rapidly expanding government, these abuses are the last straw for the American people, whove clearly had enough.

Republicans have had enough, too. The House GOP congressional transparency initiative includes common-sense changes such as read the bill reform that would require all bills to be posted online for a minimum of 72 hours before they are brought to a vote. We also believe:
•Members committee votes should be posted online within 48 hours so the American people can see how their representatives voted.
•Committees should be required to post the text of adopted bills online within 24 hours of adoption to end the practice of phantom amendments being added to bills secretly after they pass at the committee level.
•Major negotiations on sweeping bills that would dramatically expand the reach of the federal government such as the current government takeover of health care should be open to the public and subject to a full and honest debate when bills reach the floor.
•Cameras should be allowed in the secretive House Rules Committee, the panel that decides which bills and amendments come to a vote.
Our transparency initiative calls for immediate implementation of all of these reforms. Were calling on Speaker Pelosi to bring all of them to an immediate vote. If she wont do it, a Republican majority will. You can read more about the House GOP congressional transparency initiative online, at http://gopleader.gov/readthebill.

Did Republicans miss an opportunity to enact common-sense changes like these when we were in the majority? Yes — and we wont make the mistake again. With this initiative, were taking some common-sense steps to renew the drive for an open and accountable Congress. We recognize restoring the bonds of trust between the American people and their elected leaders starts with changing Congress itself. We hope Speaker Pelosi will join us, and allow these common-sense reforms to go forward.

May 162010

He also comments that he does not want to put insurance companies out of business. “I just want to hold them accountable.”

Coulter Schools O’Reilly — OBAMA Lies About ObamaCare In U.S. Congress

April 282010

“The spin stops here ’cause we’re lookin’ out for you.” So says Bill O’Reilly every time he closes his show. But WHO is he saying it to? Ordinary and upright Americans? No.

It seems O’Reilly is lookin’ out for the seamier and slimier elements of society. This time, it’s communist & thieving Democrats and liar & illegal-alien Barack Obama (AKA Barry Obama, AKA Barry Soetoro). Fortunately, guest Ann Coulter takes him to task with facts, truth, and common sense. O’Reilly can only posture and pout.

Bravo, Ann! YOU’RE the one who’s lookin’ out for us!

Fox News is “fair & accurate” and reports what the rest of the (Liberal propaganda) media MOCKS or CENSORS:

ANN: “I think the important issue to keep in mind is, has the government ever run anything better than the private sector has in the free market, and the answer is no, and Liberals keep avoiding having that argument by throwing out this word salad of ‘the public option’ and ‘triggers’ and ‘the health exchange’. The reason you have trouble with your health insurers right now is because it’s a partial monopoly created by the government. I mean, it was quite audacious of President Obama to complain last night about some states having only three health insurers. Well, why is that? Oh, that’s right, because of government intervention …”

BILL: “You told our guys that you liked that South Carolina ‘pin-head’, that Congressman Wilson is his name?”

ANN: “Yeah!”

BILL: “Yelling out at President Obama. Now, what if a Liberal Democrat had yelled out at President Bush at one of his speeches? You wouldn’t like that?”

ANN: “Well they DO, they DO all that time, and the difference is they just ‘boo’ generally. Last night, we had Obama telling lie after lie, and by the way you began your ‘Talking Points’ by saying you just want to be able to speak for the fair minded people, well here how about making this for ‘fair minded’. Just take two examples of what Obama said last night, including the one that the greatest living Statesman, Representative Joe Wilson, ”

BILL: [laughs out loud]

ANN: ” responded to, and that is this bill will NOT cover abortion, it will NOT cover illegal aliens.”

BILL: “That’s what he said.”

ANN: “There are allot of arguments I could make on that but I’m only going to give the fair minded viewers their one argument. Republicans introduced amendments that would NOT allow coverage under the ‘Health Care Bill’ for illegal aliens. Democrats – voted – that – amendment – down. Republicans introduced amendments that would say the ‘Health Care Bill’ won’t cover abortions. The – Democrats – voted – that – amendment – down.”

BILL: “Woah, woah, woah, wait, wait, though. Right, that’s true what you say, but now Obama’s on the record, in front of the country, as saying ‘no illegal alien coverage’, ‘no money for abortion’. So, he’s locked down.”

ANN: “He can say he’s a Martian.”

BILL: “He’s locked down.”

ANN: “Yeah, but the Democrats voted against it.”

BILL: “He can say whatever he wants, but if he lies he loses. If he lies he loses.”

ANN: “Okay, well, that was a lie, and that was what Representative Joe Wilson was saying.”
