The problem is that Obama did not allow the Senate to read the bill before it was voted upon. Obama is trying to ram through everything he can before he loses his majority. It was not just the Republicans who voted against it. Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) voted against it for the same reason. The whole vote was a sham as it was a strategy by Obama to make it appear that the Republicans are against reform. The fact is that the Republicans do believe in reform, just not THIS bill.

   It will get passed eventually. It’s a shame republicans are again standing by special interests and big corporations. This legislation might have stopped the economic meltdown from happening.
