Public Congress

It looks like the public option plan may win and be in place in the next 2-3 years. However, I can’t find info out there about the premiums, etc. that Congress is going to be working on?

   that’s because they are working on it now… the house passes it, the senate passes it… then they come together and hammer it all into one bill… which will be different than the two individual bills probably…

   You can’t find any information by design. That’s the way they want it. The last this Harry Reid wants is for you to read the details and have you find how just how close to socialized medicine this plan really is.
   I dare anyone here to find the details before it’s voted on.

   Right now there are still several versions. The House should have a single Bill in the next 72 hours. When that is posted you can read that for a better idea- but it still has to reconciled with the Senate which doesn’t yet have one Bill- it is working on 3 still. There will be time to read and decide before it is put in place or if it is pit in place.

   Wake up Madart! The bill is more than 1900 pages and it will not be posted. They don’t want us to know what is in it until it is too late.

   There is more than one version of this plan. They have not finished working on any of them except for part of one in the House. You have to wait until the legislation is passed with or without the government insurance plan. At least we will have some changes in private insurance. The private insurers will probably jack up their premiums just before the public plan goes into effect in 2013 like the credit card companies are doing, except that the government plan is a pretty tough competitor and hopefully the private guys will respond to it.
