ObamaCare is Unconstitutional and the Daily Review does not care!

Dear Editor,

Back in the 1932 Pulitzer Prize winner Walter Duranty was so supportive of Communism that he ignored reporting on 8-12 million Ukrainians who were ultimately starved to death by Stalin. When caught “red handed” with this omission he was reported to have said that “You can’t make an omelet with out breaking a few eggs.”
Apparently the editor of the Daily Review feels the same way when he bad mouths Attorney
General Tom Corbett for taking his oath of office seriously. If editor wants to turn the
United States into another form of government that ignores our guarantees of freedom,
spelled out in the US Constitution, he should at least be intellectually honest and just
say so.

Congressman Carney and Senators Specter and Casey took an oath to defend and
protect the US Constitution and apparently their oaths have meant nothing to them. The
Durantys of this world will use the same car insurance/ health insurance analogy or any
other bogus argument to act as a smoke screen to advance their real agenda.

The health insurance industry orchestrated this whole scheme to get 100% of the market
share and to avoid the supply and demand aspects of premium pricing. Sure there was
” GOOD COP” /”BAD COP” tactics regarding the PUBLIC OPTION and
ABORTION FUNDING, but that was just for show. ( Why do you think AARP spent 27.9 million dollars lobbying Washington in 2008?)

The Durantys of this world still believe that you can stick it to the fat-cat,business owners/executives by raising their taxes, etc. ,forgetting that such increases in cost of operation are only added to the price which the consumers ultimately pay. The editor’s allegiance to the “cause” appears very apparent by his
lack of timely reports of other states who have passed laws to protect their citizens
from OBAMACARE, his lack of reporting on Rep. Matt Baker’s HB 2053, called Health Care
Freedom Act and his disdain for Corbett’s patriotic act! Apparently the word FREEDOM
seems to be a concept which his paper does not appear to value much!

Sincerely,
Joseph Rene DuPont

The Yes Men – Mordechai Tuchasman and 1.2 million copies of the New York Times spoof

Exclusive: How The Yes Men duped media into hyping NYT spoof

Among The Yes Men’s greatest triumphs was releasing and circulating tens of thousands of copies of a futuristic New York Times edition that portrayed a utopian vision of the United States — one where single-payer health care passed through Congress and big oil was forced to fund climate change projects.

But if you watched the television news reports, you’d have believed over a million people all over America got their hands on it.

In a clip cut from their latest film The Yes Men Fix The World — and provided exclusively to Raw Story — the two anti-globalization activists Mike Bonanno and Andy Bichlbaum reveal how they duped mainstream media into hyping the hoax.

Apparently, providing one British newspaper with a nugget of terribly exaggerated information did the trick.

The fictional Times was given out to 80,000 people in Manhattan and Los Angeles just one week after Barack Obama was elected president in November 2008. Dated July 4, 2009 — and fully uploaded on a Web site uncannily mimicking the newspaper’s style and format — its feature story announced the end of the Iraq war.

In other articles, President Bush was indicted for treason, the PATRIOT Act was repealed, a “maximum wage” was implemented and students could attend public universities free of charge.

Yes Men spokesman Mordechai Tuchesman, asked by the UK Guardian how many copies of the paper were distributed, responded with a smile: “1.2 million, all over the United States in 12 major metropolitan cities.”

When the reporter probed as to whether it was really greater than 100,000, a sly Tuchesman covered up by claiming that that figure was “just in New York alone.”

fakenyt Exclusive: How The Yes Men duped media into hyping NYT spoofLater that night, CNN’s Dana Millbank reported that “The Yes Men distributed more than a million fake copies of the Times nationwide today.”

“More than a million!” exclaimed an anchor on New York’s CW11 news station. “A million fake copies of the New York Times landed in the hands of readers today.”

The story was also picked up by MSNBC and several foreign media outlets, which emphasized the treason charges against Bush. “The media ate it up,” boasted The Yes Men in the clip, having successfully pranked the media over a prank.

Tucked inside the paper’s op-ed pages was a self-deprecating farewell from Times columnist Thomas Friedman, who declared that “I have no business holding a pen, at least with intent to write,” after having “been so completely and fundamentally wrong” in supporting the invasion of Iraq.

Loved by some and scorned by others, The Yes Men proudly defended their use of lies and deception to expose corporate mischief, in an interview with Raw Story. Bonanno, however, called conservatives James O’Keefe and Andrew Breitbart “sad and pathetic” for using similar tactics to target the community activist group ACORN.

Their second of two movies, out on DVD April 1, documents the exhilarated and amused reactions of dozens of New Yorkers as they glance through the fake Times copy.

Mikeys assets before getting elected: P50,000

His net worth when he was Senate assistant grew 113 times before he became vice governor.

President Arroyos oldest child, Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel Mikey Arroyo, has lately been under scrutiny not only for allegedly misdeclaring his properties but also for being unable to explain satisfactorily how his net worth grew by more than 1,600% in the 7 years that he was an elected official.

Now, he may have to explain, too, the wealth that he acquired before getting elected as vice governor of Pampanga in 2001.

Newsbreak research shows that the rate by which Mikeys net worth increased from the time he first served as his mothers executive assistant in the Senate, to his election as provincial vice governor—an 8-year period—was far more dramatic.

From only P50,000 in 1993—based on the Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) he filed with the Senate secretary—Mikeys net worth grew to P5.72 million by 2001, the year he was elected vice governor. It represented an increase of 11,300%.

Newsbreak got Mikeys records in the Senate to build on the reports recently released by Vera Files (http://verafiles.org/) that President Arroyos sons, Mikey and Diosdado (or Dato), had purchased real estate properties after their election as congressmen but didnt properly declare them in their SALNs. Copies of their SALNs from 2001 to 2008 obtained by the writers showed Mikeys declared net worth increasing from P5.7 million in 2001 to P74.4 million in 2004 and to P99.2 million last year….read more….http://newsbreak.com.ph/index.ph p?option=com_content&task=view&id=6750&I temid=88889066

MIKEY ARROYO ON MEDIA SUICIDE WITH IGAN AND WINNIE MONSOD. HOW DO YOU EARN MILLIONS?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q0JKz…

Please watch these two parts videos and forward them to all your friends, relatives, associates and all living souls who will help us move to a better Philippines. You all watched and witnessed Mikey Arroyo. This is a rare situation where the son of our President Gloria Arroyo reveals the ways and secrets on how public officials can manipulate and steal millions of public money.

Our government officials have forgotten that these money are intended to build schools, hospitals, fund scholarships for deserving students, health care, housing for thousands of families, fight poverty, food for the children…etc They have taken the rights of the poor people to live and survive.

Their human dignity lost as we watch videos on Youtube of children and families eating garbage gathered from dump sites and restaurant garbage bins. Each day is a struggle to survive.

We believe that these videos are helpful.

There will be a long list of candidates in this coming 2010 elections.

Some will aim to get their power back so they can continue to live their lavish and wasteful lifestyles at our expense. We must not let this happen again.

“Remember, if you make an informed decision, regardless of who you pick, you are not throwing your vote away.”

2010 will be the year to elect an effective leader who will help move our country to prosperity and better quality of life for every Filipino.

Hope you will help us with our goal. “For a better Philippines.”

Thank you for your support.

Let us make this happen!
