The economy is bouncing back after eight years of Bush, do you think a Republican Congress would put us back in recession?

I don’t know what planet the folks are on who answered your question….but yes, the economy is bouncing back. The industry in my area is gearing up, hiring and working overtime.

To answer your question…the demise of the US economy is the fault of the republicans…and do I think they will put us in a recession…yes, and deep in debt. The republicans are responsible for the National deficit being so high…oh they will say Obama spent money on the stimulus…but that money would have been spent for unemployment. And isn’t it better to TRY to create jobs rather than set on your laurels and do nothing like republicans? Two tax cuts for the wealthy in 2001 and 2003…two unfunded wars and people dare to say the Democrats are at fault. I wonder where these people have been hiding.

I just want to know the ramifications of not funding the Health Care bill if the Republicans win a majority in Congress. Not saying they will, but what if they win and what will happen if they refuse to fund it?

What will happen is that the Republicians will sit down and come up with healthcare reforms that focus in reducing the costs and in improving individual choices.

Here is an example proposal: A certian percentage of your pay is placed into a ‘health savings account’ up to a maximum of $5,000/year. All of your routine medical costs are paid for out of this account. Any unspent money in that account over three years old is returned to you. Health insurance becomes true insurance against catrastopic injury or illness only.

One of the things that drive up the cost of healthcare is the fact that most medical procedures covered by health insurance on cost you a nominal co-pay. If you had to pay the full cost of a test or procedure then you as the customer will stop and think about how much it costs and exactly what benefit you expect to get out of it.

Another thing that needs to happen is to reform our medical malpractice laws to reduce the practice of ‘defensive medicine’ (the use of medical tests that are intended more to protect the doctor from a possible lawsuit than to treat the patient). I have seen estimates that up to 70% of medical tests are not really medically necessary but are used more to insure that the doctor cannot get sued if some rare condition gets missed.

They started blaming the Democratic Congress for the economy withing the first two weeks. So isn’t it reasonable to think Republicans have a plan (possibly a secret plan, since no one has seen it) that will permit them to remedy all our economic problems within a similar period of time?

Actually they started calling the recession the Obama recession the day after the election.

So why wait?

to get anything passed, does he know the Republicans are the minority? If every Republican in Congress was out getting banana splits for every vote he needed to get through on anything… it wouldn’t have made any difference? If they were all there and voted against every single one of Barry’s propositions it still would have made no difference. So how exactly is it the Republicans fault?

Yes , he knows it . We also understand this . However , he also knows that the Democratic party is based on ignorance . Many Democrats actually thought George Bush was on the 2008 ballot .

The big problem we have is that the left wing media that controls almost every news source never stops to question it .

Mr. Obama , how is it possible that Republicans have blocked anything if they only have 40 % of the votes and you are the president ?

Republicans controlled Congress for TWELVE YEARS. Six of those years they had a Republican President.

In 1995 when the Republicans took control of Congress the national debt was $4,801,793,426,032.

When they lost control in 2007 it was $8,670,596,242,97

Republicans only care about tax cuts for the rich, wars and don’t give a dayum about the middle and lower class. ❀

Republicans have no worthwhile suggestions and no feasible ideas about anything so their only option is to blame Democrats and Obama for not having fixed the disasters that Bush left behind quickly enough.

There is no way that Democrats are going to be able to quickly create replacements for the millions of jobs that were lost under Bush so it’s an easy target for Republicans. The fact that Republicans haven’t a clue is something that they hope the public will overlook.

Obama set the Progressive time bombs in our economy, Health Care & Stimulus Spending debt among other things. He’s going around the Congress & funding programs directly from the Federal Reserve which is foreign owned. Obama get what he wants. If he didn’t pass it, he didn’t really want it. This crap about Republicans even having close to enough power to obstruct is just STUPID, for people who can’t flippin count.

Republicans had no power. That’s why intelligent people know the party to blame is the Dems.

No. I think anyone should be able to contribute whatever they want to whomever they want. However, all contributions must be fully disclosed. The names and amounts of all donors should be published on line for all to research and see. I don’t care who gives millions of dollars providing I know who they are and who they give it to.

Because everything the Democrat Congress has done is bad for the country and downright stupid.
